GEO Corrections & Detentions seeks a Behavioral Health Technician-CoC to deliver transition case management and cognitive behavioral therapy to inmates nearing release. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and community providers to build effective transition plans and secure post-release resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, sociology, or related field desirable.
• Two (2) years of experience in a correctional setting preferred.
• Ability to work with a team of professionals and implement team strategy approaches.
• Strong written communication and record-keeping abilities.
• Familiarity with computers and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide transition case management services to inmates within one year of release.
• Record case management notes in GEO’s electronic system and track program needs.
• Develop transition plans and link inmates to post-release resources.
• Conduct individual and group cognitive behavioral therapy sessions as needed.
• Coordinate with community providers to support reintegration and benefits access.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain documentation for reporting purposes.
