Job summary

Rehabilitation & Correction - Dayton Correctional operates within the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, offering therapeutic and recreational programs for inmates at the Dayton facility.

The role focuses on planning and delivering recreation, personal development and structured therapeutic activities, while coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to set and monitor individual treatment goals and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 30 mos. exp. with coaching, personal training, &/or fitness instruction or 30 mos. exp. providing work direction to incarcerated persons & training &/or development.
• Associate degree in recreation or related field required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, implements and monitors general recreation, personal development, structured therapeutic and entertainment activities for inmates.
• Serves as member of interdisciplinary team and analyzes, assesses and defines treatment goals.
• Observes participants during activities and maintains related documentation.
• Performs security functions as required and participates in meetings/training sessions.
• Responsible for storage, issuance and maintenance of supplies; manages production and inventory records.
