GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking a Medical Records Clerk in Florida to manage inmate and detainee medical records. You will file, attach, and organize records, obtain physician signatures, and support health providers and staff with documentation.

The role requires attention to detail, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information while maintaining accurate records and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Training in an accredited medical records program or 1 year of experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of business English, math; good grammar and spelling.
• Solid organizational and communication skills; ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• File medical records alphabetically using color-coded system.
• Attach and file medical information by incarceration or service dates.
• Obtain physician signatures on diagnostic studies.
• Provide records to health providers and staff as requested.
• Schedule appointments with outside health professionals.
• Prepare monthly statistics.
• Perform secretarial duties.
