GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking an inmate employment coordinator to plan, coordinate, interview and implement inmate employment and programming opportunities. The role works with medical, education, and security teams to ensure compliant and effective job placements.

The position emphasizes strong organization, communication, and data-management skills, with responsibilities spanning payroll, staff coordination, and program administration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in inmate job placement preferred
• Excellent organization, written and verbal communication, computer skills, and multitasking ability

Responsibilities

• Review inmates for work clearances
• Coordinate with medical, classification, case managers, and education
• Assign or remove inmates in all jobs and programs
• Input data in database systems
• Maintain tables of organization to ensure suitable job placements
• Prepare inmate payroll and maintain data
• Enter inmate work evaluations in computer systems
• Ensure compliance with audit standards and policies
• Coordinate with food service and security for sack lunches
• Promote positive social skills and model appropriate behavior
• Maintain accountability of staff, inmates and property
• Perform other duties as assigned
