Eligibility for Teacher/License appropriate for learning disabilities/behavioral disorders; or severe behavioral handicap; or multi-handicapped; or developmentally handicapped per Ohio standards.
Must successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment.
Grade level to be assigned will determine licensure requirements.
References to OEA agreement and Teacher 1, 71211, are per existing policy.

Responsibilities

Instructs inmates with learning disabilities and behavioral disorders in academic and/or pre-career-tech subjects.
Assesses educational needs of inmates and develops lesson plans.
Provides instruction and individual assistance to students.
Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators.
Maintains discipline and security within the classroom.
Counsels students on performance, behavior and personal problems.
