Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Correctional Teacher at the Education/Northeast Oklahoma Community Corrections Center to deliver classroom instruction for incarcerated students. This on-site role requires a master’s degree in education and a current Oklahoma Teaching Certificate, with travel as needed for assignments and an emphasis on structured program delivery.

The position reports to DOC Education and involves data reporting, test administration and enrollment across facility education

Qualifications

Master’s degree in education and a current Oklahoma Teaching Certificate.
Travel is required; must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Conducts classes in core academic areas to meet students’ needs.
Plans and administers examinations and prepares reports.
Devises and uses instructional materials and provides guidance to students.
Maintains classroom and corridor discipline; oversees class activities and student clubs.
Attends teachers meetings and assists in planning and development of the school program.
Maintains inventory of books and supplies and reports on attendance and progress.
Supervises and manages college, education and programs’ classes and coordinates with facility heads.
