Job summary

DC Government is seeking a Case Management Specialist within the District of Columbia Department of Corrections (DOC). The role is housed in the Central Detention Facility (CDF) and Correctional Treatment Facility (CTF).

The incumbent will manage assigned caseloads, conduct intake interviews, and perform risk and needs assessments to guide inmate rehabilitation and community linkages.

Qualifications

• Degree in behavioral or social sciences or related discipline.
• Combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in behavioral or social sciences.
• Four years of experience demonstrating knowledge of behavioral or social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Provides management, guidance, and evaluation of assigned caseload.
• Conducts intake interviews with newly admitted inmates.
• Performs Risk and Needs assessments to identify goals and connect with services.
• Recommends programs for pre-release inmates to aid readjustment.
• Refers inmates to therapeutic services during incarceration.
• Develops and implements planned programs to meet inmate needs and rehabilitation goals.
