A leading correctional facility in Virginia is seeking an Inmate Activities Coordinator. The role involves coordinating and supervising recreational programs for inmates, requiring a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation and relevant experience. Duties: The Inmate Activities Coordinator is responsible for the overall recreational program for inmates within the facility. The employee will schedule, coordinate and supervise recreational activities for the inmate population. Work will be performed in accordance with established policy and procedure. Incumbent may be required to work irregular hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays. Employees in this position will be required to perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree with major course work in Recreation and Physical Education from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education, relevant experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work. Prior experience in a correctional environment is preferred.
Pay: $54,574-$93,414 Grade: 22
