Job summary

Novolex in Franklin Park, IL is seeking an Inline Machine Operator to safely operate the APET extrusion line and ensure quality and production standards. The role emphasizes material handling, sheet quality, and consistent throughput.

Starting pay is $28-$36 per hour, with a choice of two shifts: 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am. A High School diploma is required; plastics extrusion experience is preferred; strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience; plastics extrusion preferred.
• Experience with PET material handling systems preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to communicate with people at all levels within the organization.
• Must have the ability to lift 75 lbs occasionally as job demands.
• Must have ability to work standing or walking, in a hot environment, for 12 hours with appropriate breaks.

• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and shift leadership.

Position Summary:
