Job summary

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is seeking a qualified Inland Wheelman to safely navigate inland towing vessels and barges across U.S. waterways, including the Gulf Intracoastal and Mississippi River to Baton Rouge, LA.

The role emphasizes crew safety, accurate reporting, and adherence to regulatory requirements. The candidate will coordinate with management, perform routine equipment maintenance, and communicate vessel performance and ETA details.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• TWIC card required.
• MOTV or Mate Pilot towing vessels license (>200 gross tons) with towing endorsements.
• Radar Endorsement and FFC license required.
• Minimum two years wheelhouse experience; inland towing vessel experience preferred.
• Must be able to navigate up to two 30,000 BBL barges on Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and Mississippi River to Baton Rouge.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and navigate inland towing vessels and tank barges on inland/coastal waterways.
• Ensure crew safety and effective communication with management and office personnel.
• Maintain compliance with laws, EMS requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on vessel and barge equipment.
• Complete and maintain required reports and logs.
• Interact professionally with manufacturers and technical support.
