American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) is seeking a Fleet Wheelman to steer maritime operations from Port Allen and Tri Fleet locations in Louisiana. This full-time role features a demanding 14 days on/7 days off schedule with 12-hour watches, leading a skilled crew and ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient vessel operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Master of Towing Vessels license (Inland Waters or Near Coastal) and has experience towing sizeable tows.

Formación

• Must hold a Master towing vessels license (Inland Waters or Near Coastal).
• Experience with towing operations and managing tows of six barges or more preferred.
• Able to work a 14/7 schedule with 12-hour watches.
• USCG licensing and medical clearance up to date.

Responsabilidades

• Navigate the vessel safely at all times according to safety policies.
• Supervise crew and ensure proper instructions and training.
• Maintain vessel security and manage logs and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee budget, scheduling, and crew assignments.
• Coordinate with land-side personnel and other vessels.
