American Commercial Barge Line is seeking experienced Fleet Wheelman to join our Port Allen/Tri-Fleet operations in Louisiana. You will navigate vessels, lead crew, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on a 14/7 schedule with 12-hour watches.

The role requires a Master of Tow Vessels (Western Rivers) license, solid towing experience with multi-barge tows, and current USCG credentials. Expect competitive pay, strong benefits, and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Competenze

• Valid Master of Tow Vessels license for Western Rivers (Inland Waters or Near Coastal endorsement required).
• Experience towing operations with tows of six barges or more.
• Ability to work a 14/7 schedule with 12-hour watches.

Mansioni

• Navigate the vessel safely at all times.
• Ensure crew members receive instruction on how to do jobs and monitor performance.
• Maintain the vessel budget and help maximize cost efficiency as directed.
• Complete required log entries and maintain radio watch.
• Report CDC barges to the Inland River Vessel Movement Center.
• Give assignments and direction to the mate and/or lead deckhand.
• Comply with vessel management policies and procedures.
