Job summary

EFI is seeking an Inkjet Applications Engineering Intern for the Ypsilanti, Michigan location through Spring 2027. The intern will join a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting R&D for ink and inkjet printing technologies, gaining hands-on experience in jetting experiments and performance analysis.

You will assist in lab experiments, help design test stands and documentation, and collaborate with ink formulators and engineers to learn about ink and printhead optimization in a fast-paced

• Help design, develop, and maintain test stands, ink delivery systems, and support equipment used in experiments.
• Gain exposure to a fast-paced R&D environment supporting inkjet ink development.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to ongoing projects.

EFI is looking for an Inkjet Applications Engineering Intern to join us at our Ypsilanti, Michigan location through the Spring of 2027. This internship opportunity will provide hands-on experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team that supports R&D for product development of ink and inkjet printing technologies. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience conducting jetting experiments, analyzing ink and printhead performance, and assisting in the development of electromechanical and fluidic systems to support testing.
