Job summary

EFI in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Inkjet team. You will travel to customer locations to install and optimize EFI industrial inkjet printers, perform pre-installation checks, unload components, and position systems in customer facilities.

The role requires a two-year technical degree (or equivalent) and at least two years in field engineering for electro-mechanical devices.

Qualifications

Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology.
Minimum two years in field engineering positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices.
Demonstrated customer management skills and ability to manage a large service territory.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to component level.
Proficient with Windows and Linux operating systems; basic networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

Includes un-crating the controller, print heads, remote cabinets, and UV components; initial setup and adjustment.
Provide on-site training for customer operators and printers; assess training needs.
Perform periodic on-site troubleshooting and repairs for complex issues.
Provide detailed feedback via the EFI Inkjet CMS during and after visits.
Travel up to 75% of the workweek; may include weekend work to meet customer needs.
