Job summary

Brook & Whittle LTD in New York is seeking an Ink Technician for the 1st shift (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.).

The role supports the printing operations for high‑end packaging, with emphasis on ink preparation, color matching for UV, LED, and rotary screen inks, and close collaboration with management, sales, and customers during approvals. You will stage ink, manage inventory, assist press operators with changeovers, document formulas and run quality checks.

Qualifications

• Ink experience and color management required.
• Must understand upstream/downstream operations and perform duties satisfactorily.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; basic data collection skills.
• Able to multitask and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Look ahead on the Print Schedule to ensure adequate ink is available for the job.
• Understand color matching on UV, LED and rotary screen inks.
• Work closely with management, sales and customers during approvals.
• Stage ink to the proper staging area and return ink to inventory.
• Maintain monthly ink inventory at an acceptable level and assist in changeovers.
