Job summary

Valeo in Seymour, IN, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead industrial engineering activities for the Injection Molding Team and coordinate with site leadership.

You will train teams, plan work to meet schedules, analyze issues with managers, and drive IP and VPS tool usage across projects, including supplier involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Injection Molding Team through coaching, meetings, and on‑the‑job training.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct advanced industrial engineering assignments in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Support APU Managers / Site Manager in issue analysis.
• Estimate workforce needs and schedule work to meet dates and technical specs.
• Supervise or coordinate work of Engineers, Technicians, Designers and others.
• Facilitate and implement IP and VPS tools (improvement proposals, 5S, QRQC).
• Review daily production schedules with the Master Scheduler.
• Organize Problem Solving Groups with functions and suppliers to analyze root cause and action plans.
• Support Customer Initial Sample submissions with correct documentation for right‑first‑time acceptance.

What You Will Do

• You will support the Injection Molding Team through regular coaching, team meetings, and on job training. Ensures the realization of QRQC activities for all problems (including problems from new projects) and including escalation to upper levels of management.
• You will plan, schedule, and conduct/coordinate advanced industrial engineering assignments associated with Manufacturing Engineering.
• You will support APU Managers / Site Manager in the analysis of issues.
• You will estimate workforce needs and schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.
• You may supervise or coordinate the work of Engineers, Technicians, Designers and others who assist in specific assignments.
• You will be responsible for facilitation and implementation of IP and VPS tools such as improvement proposals, 5S, problem solving, QRQC Involve suppliers, encourage use of QRQC methodology.
• You will review daily production schedules with the Master Scheduler.
• You will participate in the established procedures to ensure compliance with the requirements of project roadmaps.
• You will organize and animate Problem Solving Groups with all the functions concerned and supplier representatives to analyze the problem, find the root cause, and define action plans by applying Problem Solving Quality Tools.
• You will support Customer Initial Sample submissions with correct documentation to ensure right first time acceptance for all new Service Part Numbers.
• You will complete other job functions as directed.
