Job summary

Valeo is a global tech company focused on greener, safer, and smarter mobility. This Process/Manufacturing Engineering role supports site projects, layout optimization, and standardization across manufacturing sites in line with Valeo's strategic goals.

The candidate will define and validate project scopes, coordinate with local teams, and drive improvements from design through ramp-up to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Industrial Engineering: plant layout, time studies, industrial process methodologies, etc
  • Experience using AutoCAD or other drafting software
  • Experience in problem solving
  • Industrial Engineering issues in a high-speed manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Plan plant layout changes to reduce square footage and number of buildings.
  • Define project perimeter, budget targets, and site selections.
  • Pilot projects timing, milestones, and standard panel suppliers.
  • Support sites to define building specifications and SOPs for ramp-up to first deliveries.
  • Manage project costs, reporting, and cross-site alignment.

What You Will Do
  • Plant layout of a manufacturing site to reduce assembly line square footage and to reduce the number of buildings required for the assembly lines
  • Define projects perimeter: products, technologies, location
  • Define projects budget target
  • Investigate and propose sites selection
  • Define and validate standard panel suppliers
  • Define and pilot projects timing and milestones
  • Define building standard specifications, include related documents, using the generic factory design package
  • Support sites to define building specifications related to specific projects
  • Assure project management with local teams
  • Define and manage project costs and savings
  • Assure with local teams, the setup, physical transfer, ramp up activity, SOP related to the projects until customers first deliveries + 2 months
  • Manage the relation and the standardization between sites involved within the same platform
  • Evaluate resources and necessary support to reach the projects objectives
  • Take care of reporting, feedback and project management
  • Coordinate the interfaces between the PG and sites
  • Manage / participate in the industrial plan of the Product Group in line with the MTP, within its perimeter
What You Should Have
