Johnson Electric is seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician Apprentice in Springfield, TN. You’ll gain hands-on experience with setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of injection molding equipment in automotive manufacturing, through on-the-job training with TCAT.
The program combines classroom instruction with practical work, leading to a potential full-time Injection Molding Technician role and career growth within Johnson Electric.
Position: Injection Molding Process Technician Apprentice
Location: Springfield, Tennessee
Salary Range: $22.10 per hour
Relocation: Not Available. Local Candidates Preferred
As our next Injection Molding Technician Apprentice , you’ll gain hands-on experience in the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of injection molding equipment used in automotive manufacturing. Through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom education with our training partner, Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT), you’ll develop the technical skills needed for a successful career in advanced manufacturing.

Assist with the setup, operation, and monitoring of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Learn troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve machine, process, and quality issues under supervision.
Perform routine inspections and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
Support preventive maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
High school diploma or GED.
Enrollment in, or willingness to enroll in, the TCAT Injection Molding Technician Program.
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing processes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Basic math, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
This apprenticeship combines classroom instruction through TCAT with hands‑on training at Johnson Electric. Apprentices will gain experience in:
Injection molding fundamentals
Machine setup and operation
Safety and quality standards
Basic troubleshooting and maintenance
Manufacturing best practices
Successful completion of the apprenticeship program may lead to a full‑time Injection Molding Technician position with opportunities for career growth within Johnson Electric.
