Job summary

DeRoyal Industries, Inc. in Powell, TN is seeking a 2nd shift Technician to support injection molding operations.

This role involves startup, operation, and maintenance of molding equipment, robots, and auxiliary systems, with a 12-hour shift from 7 am to 7 pm on an alternating schedule. The technician will load molds, set up machines, monitor quality, perform basic preventive maintenance, and assist in process improvement for new and existing molds.

Qualifications

• Technical School Certificate with 1-2 years’ experience in machine maintenance or mechanical aptitude.
• High school diploma with 2-3 years technical or machine maintenance experience.
• GED with 5-6 years technical experience or equivalent on the job training.

Responsibilities

• Load molds onto machine platens and set up machines to run quality parts.
• Develop processes for new molds and optimize existing molds.
• Start up all department equipment from cold start or standby.
• Ensure machines operate within parameters and parts meet specifications.
• Perform minor tooling maintenance and repairs; troubleshoot mold problems.
• Assist with routine plant maintenance and equipment installations.
