Job summary

D2B Groups LLC in Murfreesboro, TN, seeks a Press Technician / Molding Press Technician for 2nd shift in a high-volume injection molding operation. You will load material, monitor cycles, inspect parts, and support mold setters during changeovers.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, 5S housekeeping, and collaboration with production, quality, and maintenance to keep presses running and meet the schedule. Direct hire with full health, retirement, life insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 1+ years operating injection molding presses in a production environment.
• Understanding of cycles, tooling basics, and part quality.
• Ability to read setup sheets and work instructions.
• Comfort around heavy machinery and tooling.
• On-site availability for 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor injection molding presses throughout the shift according to the daily production schedule.
• Load material and verify resin and lot specifications against the job requirements.
• Inspect parts for quality — spot short shots, flash, sink, burns, and dimensional issues as they happen.
• Purge and transition material or color as needed under direction.
• Document production output, scrap, and downtime accurately.
• Assist mold setters during changes: staging tooling, waterlines, clamps, and fittings.
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts where certified.
• Set up and verify dryers, loaders, temperature control units, and conveyors.
• Follow lockout/tagout and safe lifting procedures; keep 5S compliant.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance to keep presses running and hit schedule.
• Flag tooling or process issues before they cause downtime.
