Job summary

Micron Solutions is seeking an Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to support our molding operations in Fitchburg, MA. This role requires hands-on maintenance of injection molding presses, robotics, dryers, chillers, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in industrial maintenance within plastics manufacturing, with strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including injection molding or plastics manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience reading basic mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical issues on molding equipment.
• Diagnose press failures and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair robots, dryers, chillers, conveyors, and other molding support systems.
• Troubleshoot sensors, motors, relays, heaters, and controls.
• Support installation, startup, relocation, and commissioning of molding equipment.
• Collaborate with Process Technicians to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Identify recurring problems and recommend long-term corrective actions.
• Complete preventive maintenance work orders and maintain equipment records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focusing on equipment reliability.
