Intertech Plastics LLC is seeking an A Shift Setup Technician in Denver, CO. This on-site role focuses on setting up injection molding machines, changing over molds, and starting production to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The technician will load resins, verify lines and equipment, and adjust parameters during startup. Compliance with safety and continuous improvement practices is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of plastics injection molding setup or technician experience.
• Ability to read setup sheets, job travelers, and basic part prints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes and machine setups according to the production schedule.
• Install, connect, and verify water lines, air lines, hydraulics, and auxiliary equipment.
• Load and confirm correct resins, colorants, and additives per job requirements.
• Set and adjust machine parameters during startup to meet quality specifications.
• Start machines and approve parts prior to full production run.
• Troubleshoot setup and startup issues related to molds, materials, and equipment.
• Work closely with operators, quality, and maintenance to resolve production issues.
• Complete setup documentation and update process sheets as required.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout tagout and housekeeping standards.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and standard work practices.
