Job summary

Mobis Alabama LLC is seeking a Process Technician to support Injection Molding startup, mold replacement setup, and launch of new product series. The role includes maintenance and modification of parameter settings for optimum production, plus ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience in injection molding, proficiency in robot programming, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus four years of experience in injection molding machines with hot runner systems and valve gate sequencing.
• Robotic teaching and programming proficiency.
• Strong understanding of injection molding processes.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on EOAT.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in safety, quality, and production meetings and promote safety.
• Ensure proper startup/shutdown procedures and prevent scrap or defects.
• Assist mold setters and maintenance to improve accuracy and reduce downtime.
• Perform 5-piece inspections on new startups with the team.
• Complete production documents in a timely manner.
• Conduct periodic quality inspections on molding presses.
• Report safety, quality, or production issues immediately.
• Maintain housekeeping and assist in training new team members.
• Transfer information to the next shift regarding quality or production concerns.
• Maintain regular attendance and be present during scheduled hours.
