Job summary

AtWork Personnel Kalamazoo is seeking Process Technicians with experience in plastic injection molding and setting up machines for new job runs. You will oversee the quality, production process, and operation of the assigned presses, coordinating with indirect support staff.

Shifts available: 2nd shift 2:45pm-11pm (train on 1st shift 6:45am-3pm for 4–6 weeks) and 3rd shift 10:45pm-7am (train on 1st shift 6:45am-3pm).

Qualifications

• Prior Plastics experience strongly preferred.
• Process Technician experience preferred - job changeover experience a must.
• Supervisor experience preferred, training for the right candidate will be provided.
• Must be able to go through Injection Molding progressive training.
• Must have mechanical aptitude
• Strong people skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Work with indirect support staff to maintain day-to-day production requirements; may direct QC Auditors, Materials group, and Maintenance Technicians.
• Review production jobs against standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Ensure quality products by establishing and enforcing company standards.
• Evaluate equipment and direct repairs when needed; analyze production reports to report production information.
• Utilize Scientific Injection Molding technology to solve current production problems.
• Complete process and setup sheets; oversee assigned presses, personnel, equipment, and materials.

We are looking forProcess Technicianswho have experience in plastic injection molding and setting up machines for new job runs.

This person will be responsible for the quality, production process, and operation of the assigned presses. Oversees the assigned personnel, materials, equipment, and administration functions.

2nd shift 2:45pm-11pm Monday through Friday. (train on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks 6:45am-3pm Monday through Friday)

3rd shift 10:45pm-7am Sunday through Thursday (train on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks 6:45am-3pm Monday through Friday)

Duties at a glance:

• Work with the indirect support staff to maintain the day-to-day production requirements. At times, provide direction to QC Auditors, members of the Materials group, and Maintenance Technicians.


• Review the production jobs against standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.


• Ensure quality products by establishing and enforcing company standards.


• Evaluation of equipment and direction of repairs when needed. Evaluating and reporting production information by analyzing production reports.


• Utilize Scientific Injection Molding technology to problem solve current production problems.
