Job summary

Henis Group in Thomson, GA is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to support daily production. You will set up presses, perform mold changes, optimize parameters, and troubleshoot defects to maintain quality.

This role offers a direct-hire, full-time position with day or night shifts and hourly compensation based on experience. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in injection molding, with strong technical aptitude and the ability to read process docs and quality specs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years injection molding experience in a process technician or similar role.
• 1–2 years mold setup experience may be considered
• Ability to read process documentation, work instructions, and quality specifications
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified
• Experience with scientific molding, hot runner systems, or ISO-controlled environments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Set up, start up, and shut down injection molding presses
• Perform mold changes and verify proper machine setup
• Monitor production and troubleshoot molding defects (flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, dimensional issues)
• Optimize machine parameters and cycle times for efficiency and quality
• Perform first article inspections and support quality approval before production runs
• Set up and operate auxiliary equipment (dryers, temperature controllers, loaders, conveyors, granulators)
• Perform basic mold preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, inspections)
• Document process changes and communicate equipment or tooling concerns
• Support new product launches, material changes, and continuous improvement
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to support daily production within a growing plastics manufacturing operation. This hands‐on role is responsible for machine setup, mold changes, process optimization, troubleshooting, and maintaining efficient production while ensuring the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical injection molding experience who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making a direct impact on production performance.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, start up, and shut down injection molding presses
• Perform mold changes and verify proper machine setup

• Perform basic mold preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections
• Document process changes and communicate equipment or tooling concerns
• Support new product launches, material changeovers, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of injection molding experience in a Process Technician or similar role preferred
• Candidates with 1–2 years of mold setup experience and strong technical aptitude may also be considered
• Experience performing mold changes and machine setup
• Strong troubleshooting skills with injection molding processes and part quality issues
• Experience operating auxiliary molding equipment
• Ability to read process documentation, work instructions, and quality specifications
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified
• Basic mold maintenance experience is a plus
• Experience with scientific molding, hot runner systems, or ISO-controlled manufacturing environments is a plus
