Job summary

Clayens US LLC is seeking a skilled Mold Setter/Process Technician to set up and run injection molding operations. You will perform mold changes, machine start-ups, and process adjustments while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires 1–2 years of molding experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to train others, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement. This full-time position in Greeneville, TN offers regular weekday hours and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of injection molding experience required (or prior external experience).
• HANDs-on experience performing mold changes, machine start-ups, and troubleshooting injection molding processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to train new Mold Setters as needed.
• Can act as backup Mold Setter.
• Good training and leadership skills; team-oriented.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and write English and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of injection molding machines to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Set-up and start-up of injection molding machines.
• Apply molding principles to troubleshoot and optimize operations.
• Perform mold and color changes on injection machines.
• Coordinate with Material Handlers and Machine Operators to ensure materials are available.
• Monitor operation for ISO, safety, quality, and efficiency standards; drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with production management to plan production activities.
• Work with Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to resolve equipment and quality issues.
• Evaluate scrap reduction techniques within the work cell.
• Document daily process conditions; log changes and draft mold repair information sheets.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
