Job summary

The role emphasizes equipment start-ups, troubleshooting, process improvements, and collaboration with engineers to reduce downtime and defects; a High school diploma and plastics experience required.

Qualifications

• Plastic injection molding background with a minimum of three years of experience in plastics processing.
• Ability to troubleshoot processing problems and make adjustments to produce good parts.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls.

Responsibilities

• Set up injection mold presses and install molds per specifications.
• Read specifications and set machine controls for temperature, volume, time and pressure.
• Provide input to reduce defects and downtime and improve processes.
• Inspect and evaluate parts for quality.
• Troubleshoot molding process and equipment and adjust as needed.
• Provide mold and fixture preventative maintenance.
• Train subordinates and ensure safe operations.
