Job summary

Century Mold in Middletown, OH is seeking a Process Set-Up Technician C Shift to operate and initialize injection molding equipment on a full-time basis. You will set up presses, install molds, and adjust process parameters to meet start-up requirements.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED or 3–5 years of related experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. A focus on safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and changeover machinery and equipment according to the production schedule priorities.
• Install and remove molds in injection presses.
• Set process parameters and alarms.
• Set equipment safety features and mold protection.
• Connect water, hydraulic and air lines.
• Connect and check mold protection switches.
• Install and remove peripheral equipment (chutes, conveyors, etc.).
• Ensure raw materials are staged at the workstation.
• Complete mold travelers as required.
• Align process parameter sheet with machine settings.
• Coordinate with QA, Engineering, and Tool Room to ensure quality parts.
• Understand processes related to mold set-up and manufacturing operations.
• Start a press and bring product up to start-up specifications, noting changes on PROCESS NOTICE.
• Provide operator assistance as required.
• Collaborate with tool engineering and other departments for new product development.
• Maintain basic knowledge of materials and the injection molding process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
