Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Cloverdale, CA is seeking a motivated Plastics Engineering intern to support the production floor. You will assist the Plastics Engineer with sample molds, process optimization, and documentation, gaining hands-on experience with injection molding machinery.

You will work with process engineers to develop robust processes using Scientific Molding theory, DOE methods, and tooling data to troubleshoot and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have technical background on Scientific Molding/decoupled molding and robust process development.
• Demonstrates a scientific approach to process development and troubleshooting.
• Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented with documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes for new tools with process engineer using Scientific Molding Theory.
• Utilize DOE’s and analytical tools to optimize tooling and production processes.
• Maintain process documentation and perform process audits for efficiency.
