Job summary

Nordson EFD, a global leader in Engineered Fluid Dispensing, seeks an experienced engineer to advance injection molding processes. You will develop parameters, run DoEs, and redesign components to improve reliability, coordinating with tooling and manufacturing teams to ensure scalable production.

The role requires prior plastics engineering experience, strong 3D modeling skills, and a practical understanding of tool design and process control in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate engineering degree required, preferably Plastics and/or Mechanical.
• Minimum of three years experience in production support/product design role with injection molded parts and assemblies.
• Experience or knowledge with lean/six sigma tools.
• Fluency in 3D modeling of parts and assemblies.
• Strong understanding of the injection molding process and tool design as it relates to part design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify process parameters for injection molding of plastic components.
• Develop and perform DoE studies to modify and improve process parameters.
• Redesign/modify components or systems to ensure long-term manufacturing reliability.
• Coordinate activities with tooling engineers to enable production-scale manufacturing.
