Job summary

You will redesign components, perform root-cause analyses, and coordinate with tooling/automation engineers to ensure producibility. A plastics/mechanical engineering degree and 3–5 years in production support are required, with strong 3D modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Undergrad engineering degree required; plastics/mechanical preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in production support/design for injection molded parts.
• Fluent in 3D modeling of parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Redesign/modify components/systems to ensure long-term manufacturing reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve customer complaints with engineering support.
• Provide engineering leadership to address product quality issues in manufacturing.
• Maintain/improve existing product designs in support of Manufacturing activities.
• Coordinate with tooling/automation engineers to enable production-scale manufacturing.
• Ensure produced samples meet component/assembly specs and create/modify BOMs and engineering masters.
• Create/modify QC inspection procedures and related tests/fixtures for manufacturing quality.
• Maintain and improve existing product designs and ensure proper engineering documentation per ISO.
• Practice good housekeeping and environmental protection measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
