Qualifications required:
- Must be a self-motivated starter and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly growing customer base.
- Four year degree in Engineering ( Plastics, Mechanical, or Chemical )
- Understanding of Electro-mechanical principles and practices
- Must have the ability to work well with others
- Must be able to prepare presentations for customers and management
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Must be able to set up and develop testing procedures and be able to analyze data
- Must be able to adjust to a fast paced always changing landscape
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Interfaces with shop floor employees to effectively define problems at hand and to identify process variables, inputs and outputs ultimately arriving at root cause
- Set-up design of experiments for process development
- New Product implementation and help develop testing procedures (such as new films, new suppliers, new resins, etc)
- Uses mistake proof strategies to arrive at process/problem resolution
- Effective communicator with the shop floor on all shifts to create awareness and provide training related to process improvements
- Complies with Quality System as required
- Establishes manufacturing standard operating procedures
- Set-up tests and trials, organize and collect the data and be able to analyze the data and present the results to management and or customer
- Establishes and maintains training documentation for operating personnel
- Work With customers on testing new products, ensuring they have the right products for what they are filling into the pouches
- Work with maintenance and manufacturing engineering on machine set-ups
- Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
- Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
- Must Follow All Company Policies and Procedures
- Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.
