Job summary

Qualifications required:

  • Must be a self-motivated starter and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly growing customer base.
  • Four year degree in Engineering ( Plastics, Mechanical, or Chemical )
  • Understanding of Electro-mechanical principles and practices
  • Must have the ability to work well with others
  • Must be able to prepare presentations for customers and management
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Must be able to set up and develop testing procedures and be able to analyze data
  • Must be able to adjust to a fast paced always changing landscape

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with shop floor employees to effectively define problems at hand and to identify process variables, inputs and outputs ultimately arriving at root cause
  • Set-up design of experiments for process development
  • New Product implementation and help develop testing procedures (such as new films, new suppliers, new resins, etc)
  • Uses mistake proof strategies to arrive at process/problem resolution
  • Effective communicator with the shop floor on all shifts to create awareness and provide training related to process improvements
  • Complies with Quality System as required
  • Establishes manufacturing standard operating procedures
  • Set-up tests and trials, organize and collect the data and be able to analyze the data and present the results to management and or customer
  • Establishes and maintains training documentation for operating personnel
  • Work With customers on testing new products, ensuring they have the right products for what they are filling into the pouches
  • Work with maintenance and manufacturing engineering on machine set-ups
  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
  • Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
  • Must Follow All Company Policies and Procedures
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.
