Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a skilled Mold Setup Technician in Illinois to lead mold/tooling setup, startup and stabilization of production runs. You will diagnose and correct issues, manage mold tooling inventory, and ensure presses operate within documented procedures.

The role requires hands-on experience with injection molding and forklift operation. Candidates should have 5+ years of injection molding exposure, strong math and mechanical skills, and the ability to lift heavy loads, climb

• Solid basic math skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of injection molding experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on experience
• Ability to lift 60+ pounds, climb stairs, and stand for up to 8 hours
• Forklift operation ability
• Injection molding process experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Hang and set up molds/tooling to prepare for production, then start up jobs and stabilize the process.
• Adjust parameters and troubleshoot issues during runs in strict accordance with work instructions.
• Own mold tooling inventory control to ensure the right tools and components are accounted for and ready.
• Tear down presses and complete mold pulls following established procedures.
• Keep the shop organized: routine maintenance, cleaning, and general housekeeping.
• Update the ERP system with accurate downtime codes and tool setup records.
• Verify presses are operating correctly; promptly communicate concerns to the supervisor.

Shape production from the first tool hang to steady-state runsFrom the moment a mold arrives at the press, you take the lead. You mount and align tooling, bring the press online, and fine-tune the run so parts flow steadily and within spec. When something changes mid-cycle, you diagnose quickly and get production back on track, all while following documented work instructions.
