Job summary

Amcor, a global packaging leader, seeks a production associate at the Libertyville, IL plant to support quality assurance, inspect products, and monitor injection machines. You will ensure proper labeling, packing, and documentation while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in manufacturing or injection molding, preferred.
• Regularly required to stand and walk; vision all-round (close, distance, color, peripheral).
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Standing/walking for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance by inspecting the products and escalating any quality issues.
• Conducts 2-hour visual checks as required.
• Continuously monitors Injection Machines' production and packs product.
• Ensures Injection Machine production is continuously and properly maintained and escalates any machine/production related issues to the Shift Leader and Technical Team.
• Ensures boxes are properly filled.
• Tapes and labels full boxes.
• Uses label maker/barcode scanners.
• Applies and maintains integrity of labels.
• Stacks full boxes on pallet.
• Continuously monitors Secondary equipment (conveyors, closing machines, grinders, bowls, carrousels, box shifters).
• Removes any jammed parts from closing machines.
• Completes required documentation.
• Follows 5S Daily Cleaning Checklist and escalates safety issues.
• Tracks productivity and quality findings.
• Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.
