Job summary

Amcor is seeking a packer/handler in the Molding department to inspect containers and lids for quality and packaging according to Amcor standards, safely and efficiently.

The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and requires maintaining a safe and organized work area. You may assist with material handling, labeling, and completing required paperwork, with a weekend schedule and performance-based progression.

Qualifications

• Must keep up with fast-paced production cycles.
• Able to tolerate repetition and long hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds safely.
• Must be able to identify alpha / numeric product codes.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holiday and overtime

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Inspect product and set aside items below quality standards.
• Assemble product by installing gaskets and handles as needed while keeping up with production cycles.
• Flame containers and lids when required.
• Stack and pack product per customer instructions and orders.
• Prepare labels and assist with material handling as needed.
• Complete paperwork accurately and perform other tasks assigned by team leader or supervisor.
