Job summary

Globus Medical is seeking an Injection Molding Operator to join the Handles Department in the United States. The role focuses on running injection molding machines, performing changeovers, and completing quality control documentation to meet print specifications.

  • Ability to perform visual inspection with a microscope on small parts and maintain attention to detail.
  • Math skills including geometry and trig are a plus.
  • Self-starter with little supervision, organized, and able to multitask.
  • Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Operate injection molding machinery and conduct changeovers.
  • Load/unload parts and measure/inspect for dimensional accuracy.
  • Record quality control data and follow SOPs and safety regulations.
  • Adjust tooling and offsets to print specifications.
  • Communicate issues or inefficiencies to the team.
  • Adhere to GMP, MedTech, and company policies; ensure compliance with laws.

Job Description

Injection Molding Operator in the Handles Department to produce quality parts that meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. The role involves conducting machine changeovers, completing quality control documentation, and maintaining good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations.

Essential Functions
  • Injection molding experience preferred.
  • Measures, inspects, loads/unloads parts from injection molding machine.
  • Implements dimensional adjustments (offsets) as needed.
  • Performs basic set‑ups and job change overs.
  • Changes and touches off all tooling to adjust part to print specifications.
  • Accurately completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets.
  • Communicates any issues or inefficiencies.
  • Inspects product according to verbal and/or written instructions such as part drawings, traveler, work instructions, and process specifications.
  • Embraces Good Manufacturing Practices and follows SOPs and safety regulations daily.
  • Adheres to the company Code of Conduct, AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other policies.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to the role.
  • Represents the company professionally and upholds the highest ethical standards in all interactions with employees, customers, suppliers, and third parties.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.

  • Intermediate math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas a plus.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision; well organized and capable of multitasking.

Physical Demands
  • Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and capacity to adjust focus.
