Position Summary
The CNC Operator operates assigned machines in the Handles Department to produce quality parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. This effort includes, but is not limited to, conducting basic machine changeovers, accurately completing quality control documentation and inspection sheet.
This individual works with other machine operators and management to ensure good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations every day.
Essential Functions
- Measures, inspects, loads/unloads parts from CNC machine
- Implements dimensional adjustments (offsets) as needed
- Ability to perform basic set‑ups and job change overs.
- Proficient at changing and touching off all tooling and to adjust part to print specifications.
- Accurately completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets
- Ability to communicate any issues or inefficiencies
- Inspects product in accordance with all verbal and/or written instructions such as part drawings, traveler, work instructions, and process specifications
- Embracing Good Manufacturing Practices and inspection techniques each day; following all SOPs and safety regulations
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
- Able to perform visual inspection with the use of a microscope on small parts; strong attention to detail
- Intermediate math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas a plus
- Self‑starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision; well organized and possesses the ability to multi‑task
- Team player, open to new ideas and teamwork, self‑motivated individual, willingness to continually strive to increase personal knowledge and value
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Advanced critical thinking and problems‑solving skills
Physical Demands
- Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Required to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus.
