Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. in Candler, NC seeks an Injection Machine Operator to safely start up, run, and monitor injection molding machines and crane systems, ensuring products meet quality standards.

The role covers setup, changeovers, equipment maintenance, scrap control, downtime reduction, and documentation while adhering to safety, regulatory, and company procedures; twelve-hour day shifts included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and safety rules.
• Basic math and ability to record production and quality data accurately.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment and process controls.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot at a basic level and perform changeovers.

Responsibilities

• Safely start, stop, set up, and operate injection molding machines and crane systems.
• Monitor resin, color, and machine performance to meet quality specs.
• Perform material changeovers, color changes, and product changes as scheduled.
• Record production, scrap, and quality data and complete required reports.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate problems to leadership as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with safety policies and lockout/tagout rules.
• Participate in training, shift handoffs, and continuous-improvement activities.
