Injection Molding Maintenance Technician

About the Opportunity
Our client is hiring an experienced Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to support a growing plastics manufacturing operation in Thomson, GA.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment. Candidates must have direct injection molding maintenance experience along with strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding presses
- Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment issues
- Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical drawings
- Repair sensors, drives, wiring, control panels, switches, motors, and other electrical components
- Troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, and manifolds
- Maintain auxiliary equipment, including resin dryers, thermolators, chillers, material loaders, conveyors, granulators, and hot runner systems
- Support mold changes and verify machine connections during setup
- Maintain accurate equipment maintenance recordsMonitor parts inventory and identify future maintenance needs
- Respond to occasional emergency equipment breakdowns
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout
What We’re Looking For
- Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience
- Direct experience maintaining and repairing injection molding presses
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical drawings
- Strong preventive maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently while supporting production and process teams
- Willingness to provide occasional on-call support for emergency equipment issues
Preferred Experience
- Milacron injection molding equipment
- Mosaic or Cemac 486 control systems
- PLC troubleshooting; programming experience is a plus
- Robotics and industrial automation
- Hot runner, chiller, and cooling systems
- Vocational, technical, or industrial maintenance training
