Job summary

TriMas Packaging LLC in Auburn, IN is seeking a Molding Lead for the 3rd shift to lead a high-volume injection molding operation. You will oversee mold set-ups, ensure safety procedures, and coordinate with the team to meet quality and production goals.

The role requires hands-on molding experience, leadership ability, and strong problem-solving skills. On-site, hourly, full-time position with weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years in a leadership role.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of plastic injection mold processing experience from mold setting through successful processing.
• Must have experience with lock out tag out.
• Must have experience with calipers, indicating micrometers, and reading inspection specs.
• Hands on experience with high volume injection molding.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Troubleshooting ability is required.
• Experience in Injection Molding Tooling and/or Maintenance is preferred.
• Previous Paulson Training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe practices by following all safety procedures.
• Ensure injection molding machines and systems are set to regulation parameters and meet quality standards.
• Set up and start up molding machines. Check product with calipers and micrometers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot processing problems, perform preventive maintenance, document changes.
• Understand reducing material scrap to protect environment and reduce costs.
• Provide feedback on mold design and assist other makers to dial in molds for optimal cycle time and quality.
