Job Title: Injection Molding Engineer

Job Description

Drive continuous improvement initiatives for molding and automation work cells to reduce cost, improve quality, enhance safety, and optimize ergonomics. Troubleshoot molding processes, tooling, and equipment issues; implement corrective actions to improve performance and minimize downtime. Review, approve, and support the development of new mold tooling and automation equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturing and equipment specifications. Lead supplier equipment runoffs, approve tooling acceptance, and verify incoming equipment meets design requirements.

Directly support new product launches through APQP activities, including PFMEAs, Process Flows, Work Instructions, and program deliverables. Partner with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM), customer requirements, and aesthetic standards are met. Lead validation trials, feasibility studies, and process testing to optimize materials and manufacturing performance. Develop process specifications, tooling standards, and operator training procedures. Utilize structured root cause analysis and problem-solving methods to resolve equipment downtime, process variation, and customer concerns.

Support scrap reduction, lean manufacturing initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across assigned areas. Support Quality, Environmental, and Safety Management Systems, ensuring compliance with ISO and IATF standards. Provide on-call production support as required and perform additional duties as needed.

Pay And Benefits
