Medway-Plastics-Corp in Long Beach, CA seeks a Mold Maintenance Technician to ensure mold preventive maintenance and repairs for injection molds, while tracking efficiencies and costs. You will perform mold repairs, coordinate external services, and drive root-cause analysis for improvements.

The role requires 2-3 years in plastic injection molds, strong bench and machine skills, and attention to safety and 5S principles. This temp position offers on-site work with a base pay of $24/hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• 2-3 years of experience with plastic injection molds.
• Understand and possess the skills to machine, bench, fit and spot.
• Experience with mills, Bridgeports, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, and saws.
• Proficient bench repair, assembly, machinery, drawings, design, welding and heat treating.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter and self-motivated.
• Must be able to perform tool evaluations.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Must have a valid Driver License to operate a forklift.

Responsabilités

• Perform mold preventive maintenance on injection molds.
• Perform basic mold repairs as directed by supervisor, including ejector pins and cores.
• Coordinate external repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Root cause analysis for mold repairs.
• Promote a safe and 5S working environment.
• Promote continuous improvements.
• Adhere to Process Map Documented JDPM-001-A.
