Essentra is immediately hiring for a Process Technician based at our Erie, PA production facility to join our team. As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for maximizing daily workload and keeping machines running efficiently and productively by monitoring the productivity rate and reject rate. Essentra is a global market leader in plastic injection molded, vinyl dip molded and metal components with a portfolio of over 40,000+ products to meet our clients needs.

• *CNC/metal experience is NOT relevant to this position - you MUST have plastics experience*
• We are currently hiring for a 3rd Shift (10:00pm - 6:00am)

What we offer:

• SIGN-ON BONUS! - We offer a $2,000.00 Hiring/Retention Bonus!
• Paid over the following pay periods:
• $500.00 to be paid at first pay period after hire.
• $500.00 to be paid after 45 days of employment.
• $1,000.00 to be paid after 90 days of employment.
• Compensation - Starting at $21.00/hour
• $2.00/hour shift differential for 3rd shift
• Eligible for a yearly bonus incentive

As a Process Technician you will:

• Remove and install plastic injection molds according to production requirements - MUST have plastics experience
• *CNC/metal experience is NOT relevant to this position*
• Maintain records to ensure high-quality production
• Follow SOPs, Processes, and training instructions in starting and cycling press
• Participate in identifying safety and production improvements
• Perform jobs assigned by production supervisor/management
• Assist in the sampling of jobs and perform first piece inspection
• Assist Floor Personnel (when needed)
• Attend all training sessions
• Perform in-process attribute/functional gauging (where required)
• Perform in-process SPC monitoring and reporting
• Keep accurate records of machine downtime when required
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
• MUST have plastics experience

• Experience in plastics

• Must be able to work with limited supervision
• Well-motivated, self-starter
• Mechanical aptitude
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work 3rd shift (10:00pm - 6:00am)

• Experience with crane or lift operations
• 1 year experience in plastic injection molding setup, or has had training in processing or equivalent is
