Job summary

Siegwerk in Huntley, IL is seeking an Ink Technician to join our team. You will perform a broad range of technical tasks pertaining to daily ink room management and operation under the direction of the plant manager.

You will assist customers with ink room operations, coordinate job set ups for presses, formulate and blend inks, maintain inventory, organize inks for press runs, perform press-side color matching, and operate the color computer. Shift is 2nd shift, 2pm-10pm.

Qualifications

• Experience with inks (UV, water-based) preferred but not required.
• Color matching ability and knowledge of inks and films preferred.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communications skills, and problem solving/troubleshooting required.
• Basic computer operation and good working knowledge of IMS.

Your Profile - What do You bring as Inhouse Technician?

• You have experience working with ink – UV, Water-based - preferred but not required.
• You have color matching ability and knowledge of inks and films preferred.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, communications skills, and demonstrated initiative in problem solving/troubleshooting required.
• You have knowledge of basic computer operating and a good working knowledge of IMS.
• You have ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• You accept the shift arrangement: 2nd Shift, 2pm-10pm; schedule will based on availability and need.
