Job summary

Siegwerk USA Inc. in Hickory, NC is seeking an InHouse Technician to join our ink room team. You will assist customers, coordinate job set ups for presses, and formulate and blend inks as required to ensure on-time production.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, organizing inks for press runs, performing press-side color matching, and operating the color computer while following all safety procedures and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with solvent ink preferred
• Color matching ability and knowledge of inks/films preferred
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills; problem-solving/troubleshooting mindset
• Knowledge of basic computer operation and IMS

Requirements

• Experience working with solvent ink is strongly preferred.
• Color matching ability and knowledge of inks and films preferred.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills; as well as a demonstrated initiative in problem solving/troubleshooting required.
• Knowledge of basic computer operating and a good working knowledge of IMS.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Follow all safety procedures, environmental requirements, permit conditions, and safe work practices; use required PPE; maintain a clean and hazard-free work area; properly manage materials and wastes; promptly report spills, incidents, hazards, and compliance concerns; and participate in inspections, investigations, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
