Job summary

Siegwerk in Huntley, IL is seeking an Ink Technician to join our team. You will perform a broad range of technical tasks pertaining to daily ink room management and operation under the direction of the plant manager.

You will assist customers with ink room operations, coordinate job set ups for presses, formulate and blend inks, maintain inventory, organize inks for press runs, perform press-side color matching, and operate the color computer. Shift is 2nd shift, 2pm-10pm.

Qualifications

• Experience with inks (UV, water-based) preferred but not required.
• Color matching ability and knowledge of inks and films preferred.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communications skills, and problem solving/troubleshooting required.
• Basic computer operation and good working knowledge of IMS.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with ink room operations.
• Coordinate job set up for presses.
• Formulate and blend inks as required.
• Maintain inventory control standards.
• Organize inks for press runs.
• Return inks from press to appropriate area.
• Perform press-side color matching.
• Operate color computer.
• Other duties as assigned.
