Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Portland, OR is seeking a hands-on ingot production operator to support mold preparation, pouring, and shipment of finished vacuum melted ingots.

You will assist furnace operators, prepare ingots, operate robotic cell or manual equipment, and help maintain furnaces and safety practices. This role requires lifting heavy loads, teamwork, and adherence to strict safety protocols in a demanding foundry environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions, read, write and perform arithmetic.
• Ability to lift and maneuver objects weighing 30–50 pounds.
• Ability to work as a team in a foundry environment.
• Ability to work under conditions with noise, dust, chemicals, and molten metal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare molds and perform metal/furnace preparation for pouring and shipping.
• Inspect, clean, and load ingot molds; operate robotic cell or manual equipment.
• Load/unload ingot molds with forklifts/cranes and inspect ingots before shipping.
• Maintain furnaces, robots, and blasting/ grinding equipment; ensure safety.
