Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of vacuum master melt operations or vacuum furnace operations or an equivalent mix of experience and training.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow specifications on Technique Cards, Process Control Procedures and SOPs.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and calculate percentages.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member with limited supervision.
• Ability to provide work direction and coordinate the work of others.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate 6.5 and 8 ton vacuum furnaces and monitor vacuum levels throughout melts.
• Prepare master heats using ABS charge makeup Sheet and ensure correct weighting of revert and elements.
• Load materials, verify paperwork, and ensure correct weighing before starting the heat.
