Job summary

Ingenyx is seeking a Film Wire Drawing Operator for the 2nd shift in Kentucky. The role involves operating and adjusting wire drawing machinery to SOPs, inspecting startup samples, and adhering to QA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates and adjusts machine/equipment to SOP as trained; follows shop packet instructions to set up machinery for production to customer specifications and applies required labeling.
• Uses measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.) and other gauges to meet quality specs.
• Inspects start-up sample for diameter, resistance, concentricity, surface, and appearance.
• Adheres to QA procedures and notifies quality when issues arise; reviews process documentation and signs off on production orders.
• Feeds wire through die sequence and capstan; maintains safety and housekeeping and uses PPE.
• Complies with environmental policies and procedures.
• Works with team to ensure production targets and quality are met.

• Operates and adjusts machine/equipment to SOP as trained. Follow shop packet instructions to set up machinery to manufacturer product to customer specifications and apply required labeling.
• Understands and uses measuring equipment, calipers, micrometers, rulers, test equipment, scales, counters die string set up and other gauging following prescribed procedures to meet high quality specifications.
• Inspect start up sample for proper diameter, resistance, concentricity, surface, and appearance.
• Quality Assurance: Adhere to QA procedures and requirements to ensure product quality and recognizes when to notify quality
• Reviews process documentation, makes corrections and signs off on production orders.
• String fine wire through die sequence and capstan.
• Safety and Housekeeping: Follow safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping practices, and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Environmental Compliance: Adhere to environmental policies and procedures.

Education / Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Basic math (addition, subtraction, and division) and assembly.
• Good interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatoring instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work as part of an effective team
• Must be able to distinguish color and good vision is required for inspection purposes.
• Familiarity with QA Procedures

• Constant lifting up to 30 lbs maxiumum
• Move 200 pound reels with aid of material handling device
