Job summary

Ingenyx is seeking a Process Engineer to support shop floor processes and scale-up activities at our Georgia facility, working on medical device manufacturing lines and related technologies.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to drive process improvements, validation studies, and robust manufacturing throughput, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to communicate with operators and leadership.
  • Experience with process development and scale-up in medical device manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide process engineering support to shop floor processes including conductors and micro tubing.
  • Assist with process development and design to meet customer product requirements.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support to promote throughput and quality.
  • Support production as products move to manufacture.
  • Lead projects involving capital and process improvements.
  • Provide troubleshooting for operators and establish procedures.
  • Establish process parameters and controls; complete development builds.
  • Lead capital projects with payback analysis and business cases.
  • Help meet KPI targets for yield, profit, and on-time delivery.

Responsible for providing process engineering support to shop floor processes that can include conductors, insulated wire, micro tubing, laser ablation, and other medical technologies. The role can also support the scale‑up and transfer of new manufacturing processes and products within the facility.

  • Ability to support technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams related to process capability, development activities, and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Assist with process development and design to meet customer product requirements.
  • Provide shop floor manufacturing engineering support to promote successful production throughput and quality.
  • Ability to provide engineering support of products as they advance into production.
  • Lead major projects involving capital improvement, process improvement, and new products.
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting support for operators.
  • Lead and/or assist in establishing or modifying procedures to promote consistent operations across all shifts.
  • Establish process parameters and controls.
  • Complete development builds as assigned.
  • Execute all required validation activities as required.
  • Submit/lead capital projects and document business case summaries with payback analysis/justification.
  • Assist in meeting KPI targets in relation to production yield, profit, sales, and on‑time delivery.
Education / Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline preferred, or equivalent relevant technical and manufacturing experience.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
  • Must be highly engaged on the manufacturing floor and comfortable working directly with operators, technicians, supervisors, and support functions to troubleshoot and implement process improvements and development activities in real time.
  • Experience designing, executing, and interpreting development trials and process characterization studies to support new product or process development.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with practical decision‑making and concise communication in a fast‑paced customer‑driven environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills (root cause analysis). Work collaboratively with Quality Engineering and ensure completion of assigned engineering portion of Material Defect Reviews.
  • Self‑motivated and ability to function in a team‑based work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects from concept through implementation, including defining next steps, driving cross‑functional alignment, resolving technical issues, and ensuring timely closure while exercising a high degree of ownership and initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing assignments in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while maintaining focus on high‑impact business objectives.
  • Previous experience in leading and implementing process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Experience with CAD/SolidWorks, lean manufacturing, PFMEA, and Six Sigma Certification a plus.
  • Experience working with wire, conductors, medical tubing, process controls, automation, PLC programming, and thermal applications is desirable.
  • Experience with DOE, statistical analysis, and process characterization methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to provide engineering support on off shifts on occasion is preferred.
  • Engineering lab experience preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques to improve processes.
  • Ability to research, evaluate, and create and or modify specs for existing or new materials and/or equipment.
